On a sunny afternoon in this Sunday 40-over friendly, Wickford batted first and clocked up 277 from their allotted overs by reason of four impressive half-centuries from Chirimuuta, Souter, Matthew and Mckenna. Of the Belhus bowling attack, only Oliver Davy made any impression with 2 wickets to his name.

In our reply after the break, Dylan Sinfield struck exactly 100, his maiden century for the Club, and Praveen Amarasunghe supported with 43, but the Wickford total was a little beyond the reach of our batters and we lost easily by 80 runs.
