The Peter Edwards Museum & Library is dedicated to the memory of Peter Edwards who was Secretary of Essex CCC from 1979 to 2000. It was formally opened in 2006 thanks to the generosity of Sue Edwards and the Boundary Club.
Housed at the County Ground, New Writtle Street, Chelmsford, it displays a vast and fascinating collection of photographs, books, equipment, clothing and other memorabilia relating to the club and its players, dating back to the foundation of Essex CCC in 1876 to the present day. It is open on all match days at Chelmsford (apart from T20 evening matches) and at other times by prior appointment, and admission is free. Please look in to the museum when you next attend a match at the ground.
