In this Saturday friendly, SLH batted first and came up against EVIE-MAE BALDWIN at her very best. Opening the bowling and sending down 8 accurate overs, she captured 6 wickets for just 6 runs - a career-best. Bowling doesn't get much better than this. And although we were pleased to dismiss SLH for 133 after Hadi Mirza had stroked 68*, we could have been chasing far less had it not been for our conceding 29 extras.

In the run chase, our young openers Freddie Martin (14) and Joseph Trotter (12) showed promise for the future but a collapse left Belhus struggling at 88-7. But enter the crease skipper JIM ROBERTSON (29*) and MARC BAKER (38*) and they skilfully guided the 5th XI home to a 3-wicket win. Well played Belhus but you nearly threw it away!
