Match report Belhus fought to a valuable win to keep their outside chances of avoiding relegation open as they go into the final round of league matches on Sat 3rd Sept.

Batting first, Mike Cansdale led the Belhus charge with a fine innings of 94 with 10 fours and 4 big sixes. The main support coming from young Louie Mailey with 31 and Ash Matbar with 20 as Belhus totalled a respectable 229 all out.

Hornchurch started well with Zafar making 41 before Tyler Robertson entered the attack to bowl the opener. Tyler proceeded to take his first 5 wicket haul of his young career (4 victims being bowled) - fine figures of 5 for 24 from 8 overs. There was excellent input with the ball from Ash Saleem (3-32) and Charlotte Waters (2-12). Farooq offered some late resistance with 31 but Belhus won well by a convincing 80 run margin.
