BELHUS BELLES ENJOY A SUCCESSFUL SUMMER:
The Belhus Belles capped off a historic and unforgettable summer by
marching all the way to the Essex Women's Softball Series 6 Finals.
Group Stage Dominance
The Belles standard was set high during an exceptional group-stage
campaign. Competing in a fierce pool alongside Orsett CC and Ekota CC, the Belles
showcased incredible teamwork, skill, and consistency. After a series of
brilliant performances, they finished joint-first in the group alongside a strong
Wickford CC side.
A Thrilling Finals Day
This stellar group performance earned the Belles a well-deserved spot in
the prestigious Finals Day, hosted at Springfield CC on Sunday, 26 July. Out of
the 44 competing clubs, the Belles qualified as one of only 11 elite teams to
make it to the big stage. Facing the best teams in the county, they put up a
fantastic challenge, fighting hard in every over and representing our club with
immense pride.
An Amazing Season
While the finals standard was incredibly high, nothing takes away from what
has been a truly remarkable season for the squad. Earlier this summer, the
Belles secured silverware by winning the coveted Lisa Cansdale Trophy. Following
that up with a top-of-the-group finish and a place in the county finals cements
this as one of the most successful seasons in the team's history.
