GREG MENDHAM JOINS 'THE 99 CLUB' IN 2ND XI VICTORY:

Hornchurch Athletic 188 all out. Belhus Sunday 2nd XI 192-2.

On a very pleasant Sunday afternoon at North Stifford, Hornchurch Athletic elected to bat first after winning the toss.  Some disciplined bowling from Ted Waters (4 for 6) and Muthu Krishnasamy (4 for 34) caused problems for the HA batters with only Abhishek Chaudhary (76) and Liam Whitaker (50) reaching double figures as they were dismissed for an under-par 188.

The run-chase found our 2nd XI in excellent form as Reuben Hart stroked 35 and Dylan Sinfield 34, while opener Greg Mendham was left stranded on 99 not out when the target was reached in just 26.3 overs for a convincing 8-wicket victory.

Greg became only the eighth player in the Club's history to join 'The Belhus CC 99 Club', the first such instance being achieved in 1981.  See 'The Belhus CC 99 Club' page on the left-hand side menu of this website.
