LOUIE MAILEY PASSES 500 RUNS:
South Loughton 259-8
Belhus Sunday 1st XI 262-5:
In very
pleasant cricket conditions at North Stifford on 31st May, South Loughton took
first knock and proceeded to rack up a decent total of 258-8 from
their 40 overs. And it was Joshua Evans, coming in at No. 7, who did the damage as he struck a commanding 77 off 54 deliveries. For Belhus, Tyler Martin was
the pick of the bowlers with a fine return of 4 for 32 and the safe
hands of Dylan Sinfield grasped 3 outfield catches.
In reply, our 1st XI were always up with the run-rate as opener Dylan Sinfield stroked
43 and Louie Mailey caressed 74 to register his seventh fifty of the
season and become the first batter to pass 500 runs. Then it
was left to Aariyan Kansagra (66*) to skilfully steer his team home to a
very competent 5-wicket win with 9 balls remaining.
