Our 3rd XI produced an excellent all-round performance to defeat Leigh-on-Sea by 60 runs on Saturday 23rd May.

Batting first, Belhus posted a strong total of 245 all out, built around a superb century from Alfie Ware (his third for the Club), who struck 104 from 89 balls, including 12 fours and 4 sixes.  Valuable support came from Afra Rose Mohamed (42) and George Bowden (20) as Belhus kept the scoreboard moving throughout the innings.

In reply, Leigh-on-Sea were restricted to 185-8 from their 40 overs thanks to a disciplined bowling display.  Aariyan Kansagra led the attack with 3 wickets, while George Bowden and Ethan Hammes both claimed two wickets each. Tight opening spells, particularly from Ashir Saleem, helped Belhus maintain control throughout the chase.

A strong team performance and an excellent response from Belhus to return to winning ways.  Well done, Belhus!
