Brentwood Victorians 192 (George Church 5-27):

The long-standing fixture against the Brentwood Victorians saw us put into bat after losing the toss, and although half centuries were registered by Aftab Mohamed (51*) and Dylan Sinfield (60*), we could only muster a modest total of 205 for 8 after our 40 overs.

In their run-chase, the Victorians got off to a flying start with a 59-run opening partnership between Shane Surujbally and Roger Mahadeo, but then George Church was brought into the attack and proceeded to skittle the Victorians' first five batters (5 for 27 being his maiden '5for').  At 142 for 7 the game was in the balance, and although Gautam Datta remained stoic with an unbeaten 68, our skipper Sinfield took the last wicket to clinch a close 13-runs victory for our 2s.
