BELHUS HOSTED ANOTHER WOMEN'S & GIRLS' SOFTBALL FESTIVAL – TROPHY STAYS
HOME!
Belhus was proud to host its 4th Annual Women's & Girls'
Softball Festival on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May, and what a day it turned
out to be!
There was a brilliant turnout, with 6 girls’ teams and 7 women’s teams taking
part. The girls’ competition featured two Belhus teams alongside Harold Wood (2
teams), Hadleigh & Thundersley and Hutton. On the women’s side, we welcomed teams from
Belhus, Wickford, Harold Wood, Upminster, Leyton, Southwark Park and Rainham - a
very strong lineup that made the competition really special. Unlike many women's softball fun festivals, this one brings together all the
serious teams, so the standard was high and every game was competitive.
The winner of the Lisa Cansdale Trophy 2026 is decided by the highest
average score across matches — and we’re delighted to say that Belhus managed to come out on top
with an outstanding average of 101.50. A fantastic achievement against such
tough competition.
A huge well done to all the teams who took part as well as the organisers, managers and volunteers who made the day such a
success. Great cricket, great spirit, and another memorable festival.
