NEW CLUB RECORD 2ND WICKET PARTNERSHIP.
The Club has witnessed a number of outstanding batting partnerships over the years, including the Record Wicket Partnerships (see the left-hand side menu on our website), some of which have been in place for a good many years.
On Sunday 4th June, against Bentley CC in the Regional Final of the National Village Cup, which we won by 31 runs, brothers Joe and Danny Joyce combined together to forge an excellent Club Record 2nd Wicket Partnership of 242 (surpassing the previous record of 234 set by C. Lewis and P. Bennett in 2013) with both stroking fine centuries.
And in the Club's 63-year history, it was the very first time that two brothers had scored centuries in the same innings. Bravo.
