Frenford 1st XI 127 all out

The 2nd League match of the season saw our 1st XI bat first with openers Salman Khan (66) and Lewis Blake (50) post a 118-run partnership for the first wicket. After our middle order batters failed to capitalise on the fine start, Callum Owen came in at No. 9 to rescue the cause with a fine 38. The final total of 228 was a little below what we were expecting as Fazal Rehman enjoyed his afternoon by capturing 6 for 34 from his 10 overs.

After tea, our bowlers got us off to an excellent start as Frenford found themselves in deep trouble ar 26 for 5, and they proceeded to lose wickets regularly before being bowled out for 127 (that would have been much less had it not been for the 24 wides that were gifted to them). Callum Owen rounded off a good day by collecting 3 wickets as too did James Webb

Another 20 League points for Billy Winter's 1st XI who have started the season in decent form and with confidence.
