Belhus 4s welcomed Oakfield Parkonians 5th team to Ockendon Rec. Skipper Scott Sinfield won the toss and decided to put OPCC in to bat. OPCC found themselves at 23-3 early with George Bowden again taking a wicket with his first ball of the day (George ending with figures of 3-23). Muktu then chipped in with his first wickets for Belhus to leave OPCC struggling at 44-4. However, Vijay (70 no) and Tariq put on a stand of 82 to try and wrestle the initiative away from Belhus aided by 6 dropped catches in the space of 4 overs. Once Tariq fell (34) to the experience of Amit Gohil (4-22) who for a second week running looked like he was going to bag a hat trick, Belhus tails were up and although a little disappointed with conceding 159 runs, felt the target was achievable..... or so it seemed.

Belhus lost opener Ryan Prendegast early but an inspired partnership or 77 between skipper Scott (33) and Vansh Mehra (44) setting a foundation at the start on a pitch tough to play on. Belhus then found themselves 81-4 after being 79-1, but Ethan Barnett came in to steady the ship with a composed 26. More pleasing was the way George Bowden and Aryan Yagnash Patel anchored for Liam Waters (14) to see us home with overs to spare.

Great game played in good spirit and we wish Oakfield Parkonians the best in the coming games.
