Our Sunday 2nd XI performed magnificently in the Club's first match of the 2024 season.

Batting first, three of our batters (Lewis Blake, Michael Cansdale and Chris Didd) stroked fine half-centuries, and we completed our allotted 40-overs with a respectable total of 245 for 6 including 9 sixes.

After tea, we put in an impressive all-round performance with Teddy Waters capturing 3 for 12 from his 4.5 overs and Scott Sinfield and James Webb collecting 2 wickets apiece. We dismissed Tillingham for 130 (Charlie Hylton 55) with 6 of their batters falling for 'ducks' and we marched home to a comfortable 115-runs victory. Well played Belhus.

So a great team effort in this opening match, generating much optimism for the season ahead.
