Match report Electing to bat in this 40 over encounter Belhus made a very competitive score of 277 for 8 wkts on a good Stifford track. Highlight of the innings was Lewis Blake who scored a fine century, 100 exactly. Other contributions came from Opener Teddy Walters (31) in a good opening stand of 71 in good time. Michael Cansdale (21), Alex Blake (27) including a huge six and Henry Overy whose current good form continued with a quick fire 44 to close. Young Oliver Davy made 10 selflessly running sacrificing his wicket in the bid for quick runs.
In reply Forest Gate were always up against it as Henry Overy took 4 for 36 and Alfie Ware 1 for 27 off their allotment. Despite several confident appeals going against the home side Belhus still emerged comfortable winners by 32 runs closing on a creditable 245 a.o Well played Belhus and Tx to Julie for scoring. (MR)
