Horndon-on-the-Hill batted first but were only able to register a modest total of 107 thanks to Pawar who top-scored with 42. Ashir Saleem was the pick of our bowlers with 3 for 14 and James Webb and Louie Mailey collected 2 wickets apiece.

After tea, we must have felt pretty confident of chasing down the runs, but with only Simon Walker (20) and Ashir Saleem (20) making scores we made hard work of the task and fell tantalisingly short of our target by just 1 run!
