In the Saturday 1st XI's final match of the season, Newham batted first in this 40-over encounter and posted a respectable 206-9 as Ali Raza top-scored with 50 not out. Afra Rose was our lead wicket-taker with 3 for 36.

In our reply, Louie Mailey stroked his 4th half-century of the season and was supported by Riley Everett (37) and Dylan Sinfield (32). But we couldn't quite reach the required target as each of the 7 Newham bowlers took 1 wicket apiece and we came up agonisingly short to lose by just 2 runs.

It was a fine game of cricket to end the season.
