In this eighth Essex League match of the season, Chelmsford batted first and posted a very respectable total of 286 declared off 42 overs. Puneet Singh Bal was our lead wicket-taker capturing 4 for 64.

After tea, skipper Jim Robertson (58), Alfie Ware (42) and Ryan Prendergast (41*) batted well, but we weren't quite able to reach the required target and we settled for a Draw and 7 points.
