Skipper lost the toss again and Belhus were put in to bat. Teddy Waters and Martin Mailey got us off to what turned out to be a great start with an opening partnership of 40, by far the biggest in the match. Belhus felt the full force of the dead pitch and it was only a dogged 17 from Dylan Sinfield that got Belhus to 100 in 34 overs.

As always, both teams had to bat on the pitch and top spells from Billy Maidment (3-17) and Baiju Mohamed (2-12).

What really turned the game was 3 unbelievable catches firstly from Ben Gladman who also had a tidy spell with the ball (2-9). Alfie Ware (3-12) got their most dangerous batter Hbretract with a worldy one-handed catch from Dylan Sinfield. This made up for the dolly he dropped on Saturday! The last, and by no means least, was a top catch on the move from Louie Mailey.

How we fielded and defended a modest total is a real testament to the attitude and togetherness of the side that day.
