Batting first, the 10-player Brockley side managed to register 208 for 8 in this 35-over friendly as Joel Cooper top-scored with an undefeated 56. Spinner James Webb was our lead wicket-taker with 4 for 26 taking him past 50 wickets for the season - his third season in succession.

In our run-chase, Belhus made hard work of things as most of our batters made a start plus a silly run out, but couldn't quite kick-on and a late collapse ensued, apart from Riley Everett who stroked a run-a-ball half-century (58). Ben Gladman and Muthu Krishnasamy skilfully inched us home to victory by 1 wicket off the last ball of the match when with scores level was a wide which ended the game and secured victory for Belhus for a unusual finish.

This was an excellent game of cricket.
