At North Stifford on 1st June in this 40-over friendly, our Sunday 1st XI fielded first and had no answer to the Brentham batters, as three of their batters (Pravin Jadhan, Meet Goshami and Ashfaq Ahmed) reached fine half-centuries to take their side to 313-5.

With a decent batting line-up, we quite fancied our chances to chase down the runs, but with most of our batters (except Louie Mailey who stroked 89) just failing to capitalise on decent starts, we came up short by 35 runs.

Despite nearly 600 runs being scored it was a pretty uneventful match, but well played Brentham for a deserved victory.
