Batting first, we lost an early wicket before skipper Jim Robertson and Michael Cansdale crafted a 2nd-wicket partnership of 143 before losing Robertson lbw for 46. Michael went on to register a well-deserved century (107) and Hussain Katariwala boosted our total to 311 for 8 with a well-struck 55-ball 70.

After tea, we put ourselves into the driving seat as Wanstead reached 146 for 6 (Hugh-Anderson-Elliott 57), but an unshakeable 7th-wicket partnership of 81 between Zafar Salyed (34*) and Salba Rahman (49*) saw their team home to a Draw with both teams collecting 10 points.

A fine performance by our 3rd XI who are looking for a couple of victories in the remaining 7 League matches to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
