Batting first in this 40-over ECCB Under 16 Trevor Bailey Shield match and despite losing both openers to some exceptional Ilford bowling, we were able to post a respectable total of 211 for 7 thanks to Gus Philpot (76), Louie Mailey (35) and Alfie Ware (22). who all batted well.

In their run-chase, Ilford started well but their reply then fell apart and were never quite in the hunt as they were dismissed for 111 in just 31.5 overs. James Webb was our lead wicket-taker capturing 3 for 17 from 4.5 overs and we came out comfortable winners by 100 runs. Well played Belhus.

This result secured a 100% record and ensured a first place finish in the group. We now progress to a home quarter-final with Harold Wood on Sunday 23rd July.
