Batting first in the second Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, our 3rd XI posted a respectable total if 250-4 thanks to fine half centuries from Saiful Islam (58) and Imran Mohammed (54*).

In their reply after tea, Upminster made a magnificent attempt at the run-chase (led by Peter Thompson with an unbeaten 96), but fell just short of the required target as Belhus came out winners of an evenly-fought contest by just 4 runs.
