Match report Electing to bat, Belhus could only muster a disappointing 139 for 9 in this match reduced to 35 overs due to the cold and threat of inclement weather. Lets hope it warms up soon.This was largely due to an excellent 48 n.o. from No. 6 Rob Marlow that glued the innings together after another disappointing start. The only other double figure contributions came from M.Cansdale with 14, Randall 10, Maidment 10 and young Henry Overy who made 11 and hung around with Marlow in a 6th wicket stand worth 57.

In reply, a strong batting line up had little difficulty in knocking off the runs in 21.1 overs with openers Chapman who rode his luck slightly and Arif making 61 and 40 respectively in good time. Belhus did bowl well to take 5 wickets with the veteran Cliff Cansdale and 13 year old Tyler Robertson both taking 2 wickets each, but the home total was sadly nowhere near enough. The highlight of the Belhus fielding, which is much improved, was a stunning one-handed catch at point off a full-blooded drive by Rob Marlow that would have graced any cricket field. What made it more special was that it was Rob's right hand and he is left handed!

Finally, we need to improve our batting and post a competitive total. Paddington were just too good for us: well played. Thanks to Libby for tea and to Baiju Mohammed who turned up to play despite being injured to make up the numbers.
