Match report Electing to bat at Stifford in this 35 over encounter on a blustery day, Rainham made steady progress to score a useful 195 for 6 off their allotted overs with Tony Stouchbury leading the way undefeated on 52 and George Waites making a patient 41. T.Herbert contributed with 21 n.o. Best of the Belhus bowling came from Billy Maidment with 2 for 28.

In reply, Michael Cansdale fell cheaply but Chris Didd and Roy Heffernan batted well as the total reached 52 until Didd was bowled. Wayne Read joind Heffernan in a productive 2nd wicket stand of 84 until Read was caught for 40. Youngster Zak Wilson then strode to the crease smashing a brisk 37 n.o. to all but win the game. Heffernan then mis-cued for a match-winning 73 as Belhus won by 5 wickets with 4.4 overs remaining.

A game played in good spirit. Thanks to Peter Bright for producing a good pitch, Julie Whitlock for scoring and Martin Burnley for umpiring.
