Electing to bat first in this 40 over friendly encounter, the Belhus innings initially floundered as openers Jack Plane and George Maidment departed early. The innings was held together by Wayne Read who, after a regulation chance to the keeper in the 20s, struck his third century of the season to finish on 107 not out, hitting fourteen boundaries. Belhus opener Keith Dhannie blasted his way to 64 runs - his first Sunday fifty ('at last') which included thirteen fours. Zak Wilson, Liam Waters and Billy Maidment played good supporting roles with. For Dulwich, Dan Edwards picked up 4-66 from eight overs, Mario Lambrette claimed 2-44 from four overs while Patrick George collected the remaining wicket.

After the break, there was some fine batting from Surrey U17 player Kira Chathli, who struck 68 in a knock which included eleven fours despite being dropped twice. She was eventually run out by Jack Plane having put on 92 for the first wicket with George, who made 33. Harry Chathli was undefeated on 59 but by that time it had proved difficult for Dulwich to keep up with the run rate and they fell 77 runs short of their target. John Wilson joined Plane in achieving a run out while there was a wicket each for Billy Maidment, Baiju Mohammed and Michael Randall. Another notable feat was John Wilson who it must be said bowled well but who dropped three, yes three, caught-and-bowled opportunities! which might have killed the game in the first few overs.
