Match report Belhus Sunday 2s, fielding 6 youngsters, were rescued by a George Maidment who registered his maiden senior century in scoring 102. with 16 fours and 1 six, It was also his first senior 50, no mean acheivement! Electing to bat, Belhus laboured at 22 for 2 off 11 overs against some good quick bowling on a bouncy wicket from the awkward Hedges who conceded just 13 runs off his alloted 8 overs. The entire innings was then held together by young Maidment, whose confidence grew after some good shots on yet another excellent Peter Bright wicket, Henry Benson with 19 and Jack Plane also with 19 as Belhus mustered 194 for 9 in their 40 overs.

In reply, the Noak Hill innings was equally slow with tight bowling limiting runs to just 24 from the first 10 overs for the loss of two wickets. However, Noak Hill No. 4 batsman Khan chanced his arm in scoring a rapid 57 before one big shot too many saw one go straight up in the air to be caught by George Maidment. A couple of cheap wickets fell and then Lee French composed a match winning 59 n.o. along with Hedges 24 n.o. to comfortably win the game for Hill with 4.3 overs remaining. For Belhus, young opening bowlers Billy Maidment and Eathan Morris bowled well taking taking 2 for 18 off 8 overs and 0 for 24 off 7 respectively.

A ceditable performance from such a young and inexperienced Belhus team.
