Match report Put into bat in gloomy overcast conditions in this 40 over encounter at the Patmore Memorial ground the Belhus innings centered around opener Keith Dhannie who compiled an excellent 91 despite a let off. He produced a number of fierce drives, pull and cuts in his innings. Although there were no ducks in the next highest score was No. 9 Ben Garwood with an excellent 22 n.o. and with three other double figure contributions the innings closed on 201 for 9 againt some good bowling a decent track. After tea the sun came out. The mainstay of the Wickford reply was a maiden ton by S.Brown who compiled an excellent 109 n.o to almost win the game single handed. He too had a let off though a hard half chance to George Maidment. He received good support from C Etchells who made a quick 37 until he was well caught by young Liam Walters in the gully. Wickford made it home by 3 wickets with 3.2 overs remaining in an excellent game of cricket.

For Belhus, Matthew William bowled with good pace and the evergreen Cliff Cansdale yielded just 13 off 8 miserly overs and taking a wicket in an excellent game that could have gone either way.
