RANDALL OUT FOR NELSON AS VICTORY SAILS TO A DRAW

Mike Randall struck his highest Belhus score of 111 runs and shared in a magnificent stand of 160 for the second wicket with Matthew Williams, who contributed 54, thereby attaining his maiden fifty. When Randall was dismissed, having struck 15 fours and a five from 144 deliveries, the home team score stood at a lofty 189. The runs continued to flow as Suhail Shahid hit 47 off just 25 balls. He hit six fours and two sixes.

For Stanford, James Hogger and Andrew Powley claimed two wickets each. Later, their opening batsman Peter Victory held his ground for a solid 50 not out from 101 deliveries, while James Pearn, batting at number four, attained 60 runs to thwart any chance of a Belhus league win. Williams completed a fine all-round performance with 3-34 while Ryan Prendergast's deceptive slow-medium arrivals earned him 2-14 off three overs.
