Match report Belhus Sunday 2's were largely outplayed in this encounter with Old Southendian expecting a first team outfit at Southchurch Park on Sunday. Initially a under strength Belhus side gave a good account of themselves doing well against some sloppy bowling and fielding bringing up 70 for 1 in 12 overs as Gohil (35) went for his shots. Stonham (43) joined Randall (23) in a second wicket stand of 24. After that, there were no double figure contributions from a young and inexperienced batting line-up, and the innings fell away to a disappointing 149 all out with all change bowlers having success.

In reply, Belhus secured a couple of wickets but a powerfully hit 90 not out from 1st team opener Ian McDonald saw Southendian home in just 19.2 overs with Belhus 2's outplayed by a stronger side.
