Belhus leapfrogged into second place in the Shepherd Neame Essex League table following this latest win at Woodside Park on Saturday. Belhus opener Jim Robertson was on form with a fine 61, while Paramveer Uppal struck an undefeated 64 and Jabir Sarwar hit 43. Scott Fieldstead was the pick of the home bowlers but arguably under-employed. In six overs he claimed 2-18 which included three maidens. Alan Maidment was in prime form for the visitors with 4-46 from 12 overs and Robert Long was also on target with 2-12 from eight overs (four maidens) as the home side succumbed after 30.3 overs, despite a top score of 22 from Graham Lewis.
