Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v Anson St George on Sun 20 May 2012 at 2pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 22 Runs
Match report
Anson St. George 189-6
Belhus 2nd 163-6
The visitors to Thames Rugby Club enjoyed a 26-run win over their Belhus hosts on Sunday. Anson St. George posted 189 despite the best efforts of local bowlers Jack Plane, 2-31 while Ben Kent and Sam Hall took one wicket each. In the Belhus reply, Mike Randall hit 30, Amit Gohil scored 27, Kent made 20 and Plane finished on 26 not out.
But the fact that the home side still had four wickets in hand but fell just short of their target suggests that the run-chase was cleverly derailed by the Anson St. George attack.
