Buckhurst Hill made light work of the Belhus fourth eleven's score as home batsmen Naomal Wijesooriya and Atul Sharma were both undefeated on 67 and 44 respectively. The only wicket to fall was that of Ash Mohammed, who was caught by Jack Martin-Hussey off the bowling of Jack Plane (1-24).

Earlier, Brian Edwards and Barry Ruck were the joint top-scorers for Belhus with 21 runs apiece. Plane hit 19 runs, while opener Mike Randall contributed 14. Sam Hall batted sensibly in the tail to record 12 not out in the face of some penetrative bowling from Anai Patel, who finished with 4-32 from 14 overs, three of which were maidens.
