Hornchurch Athletic emerged as deserved victors at North Stifford as a fine 54 from Samarasekera proved to the be the match-winning performance in a strong Hornchurch batting line-up. With Coates supporting with 41 and Rafferty hitting 52, Belhus were always on the back foot.

In the Belhus reply, there were contributions from Michael Cansdale, 42, Wayne Read, 34 and Joe Joyce with 26, but Laurence Weeks had the final say by claiming three Belhus wickets at a cost of 35 runs from eight overs. For Belhus, Daniel Dreher picked up 3-64 from nine overs.
