Goresbrook edged home in this 35 overs per side thriller at North Stifford on Saturday. Belhus started brightly enough as Michael Fogg hit a stylish 83 not out and former Goresbrook player Connor Elliot hit 50, but then Goresbrook responded in kind through Keith Friend with 64 not out and Shane Barwick's innings of 52. The visitors reached their target with just four balls remaining.

Jim Banner, acting skipper in the absence of Whitters said: "I felt we were always on top for the first thirty overs but we lacked some death bowling which cost us. But young Mark Fogg looks a promising prospect as a leg spinner which is very good for the future".
