Match report The cricket week kicked off with a resounding defeat to Mark Winter's 1988 1st XI, who had almost settled this 30 over a side contest midway through their first innings. Belhus old boys Terry Lambert 92 (9x4, 4x6) and Tony Lincoln 86 (12x4) put on 169 for the first wicket. Wayne Read helped himself to an undefeated 49 once these two had departed to post 246 for 2. Brian Edwards picked up 2 for 48.

In response, the Belhus vets side were blown away for 121 with only Scott Bayford 33, Jim Banner 30 and Mike Randall 24 making double figures, Mark Winters 3 for 8 still showing he has plenty in the tank on the bowling front.
