Belhus number eleven Wilf Gansbuhler became an unlikely hero when he edged a winning boundary through the slips to help Belhus win by 1 wicket and retain their position at the top of the Shepherd Neame Essex League 4th XI East Division table at Ockendon Recreation ground on Saturday.

Earlier, Belhus veteran Mike Randall struck 66 while Mike Squires hit 34 and took 3-49. Belhus captain Paul Whitlock bagged 3-62.
