CALLUM OWEN FIRST TO REACH 50 WICKETS FOR THE SEASON:
Belhus Sunday 1st XI 269-6 British Museum 229-7.
On a much cooler afternoon for this 35-overs match against the British Museum at North Stifford, our Sunday 1st XI batted first and racked up an imposing 269 for 6 after opener Aftab Mohamed registered his third century of the season (103*). Well batted Aftab.
In their run-chase after tea, the Museum were in deep trouble at 25 for 5, but two superb innings by Ajmal Ahmed (50) and Kadeem Parchman (131) edged them nearer to the required target, before their innings closed on 229 for 7 and Belhus won by 40 runs.
In taking 2 wickets in the Museum's innings, Callum Owen became the first Belhus bowler to reach 50 wickets for the season. Well bowled Callum.
