UNDER 13 SPITFIRES THROUGH to SECPG LEAGUE FINAL:

Benfleet Under 13 Barbarians 108 all out:

In this SECPG League Semi-Final, Belhus Spitfires met Benfleet Barbarians at North Stifford on a warm but overcast evening.

Benfleet won the toss and put the Spitfires in to bat, the decision working their way when the Spitfires were rattled and down to 19 for 5 wickets.  But as the sun broke through, skipper Aarav Kansagra and Elliot Osborne put on a valuable partnership, with Aarav retiring on 30 runs, earning him Man of the Match, and Elliot on 25 not out.

With a defendable 120 runs on the board, the Spitfires were up to the task. Excellent bowling from all, bowling 2 overs each, with only 6 no balls and 2 wides, Harrison Ward took two wickets.  Then Joseph Trotter bowled his best spell this season with his 2-5 earning him the match ball.

The Spitfires now progress through to the League Final.  Well played Belhus!
