In this SECPG
T20 Cup Final, our Under 15s batted
first and posted a very respectable total of 168 with Alfie Ware (35)
and Sam Hisscott (34) our lead run-scorers.
In their reply,
Rankin's made a good fist of chasing down the required runs, but they
came up a little short as with Lewys Worley capturing 3 for 18 and
lively fielding by all of our players, we marched home to victory by 22
runs - the second successive year in winning the T20 Cup.
This was a competitive Final between two talented sides played within the Spirit of Cricket, a credit to both teams. Our thanks go to Hadleigh & Thundersley CC for hosting this Final, and to the dedicated managers and coaches for their sterling contributions throughout the season.
