ALFIE WARE SNARES MAIDEN '5FOR':

In the 3rd XI's HFEL match against Old Brentwoods on 1st June, we were pleased to restrict OBs to 175 for 9 after their allotted 45 overs.  Imran Mohammed bowled 9 economical overs to take 3 for just 14 runs, but Alfie Ware was our star bowler in capturing 5 for 34, his career-best as well as his maiden '5for'.

175 was an achievable target for us to chase down, but although most of our batters recorded double figure scores and Aftab Mohamed top-scored with 42, we fell 14 runs short of our target.

Naturally we were disappointed not to clinch what should have been a comfortable victory, but well played OBs.
