Match report Belhus lost a very close and exciting match by just 5 runs on a very hot Sunday morning at Leigh-on-Sea.

Batting first Belhus made a competitive 271 for 8. Seraaj top scored with an aggressive 17 and there was good contributions from Finn (9) Maaz (8) and Jaxon (6). Simmons was the pick of the home attack with 2 wickets.

Leigh replied strongly with Bushell (15) and Simmons (12) the standouts. But Belhus fought back well with wickets for Callum, Akhil and Seraaj. When skipper George picked up 2 wickets in 2 balls thanks to fine catches from Callum and Jaxon it really was game on but Leigh just sneaked home in the last over making 276-6.

A fine close match and much improved performance from the young Belhus Hurricanes team.
