Belhus CC 3rd XI suffered their first defeat of the league season, losing by 5 wickets away to Westcliff-on-Sea 4th XI.

Batting first, Belhus were bowled out for 154, with Alfie Ware producing an excellent innings of 61, including 12 fours and a six. Tom Thompson (29) also made a useful contribution at the top of the order, but regular wickets prevented Belhus from building momentum. Westcliff bowler Esa Ali starred with 4-30, supported by Monty Harrington (3-29).

In reply, Belhus fought hard with the ball. Alfie Ware capped a strong all-round performance by taking 3-38, while Muthukumar Krishnasamy and Aariyan Kansagra picked up a wicket each. Despite reducing Westcliff to 118-5, the hosts reached 155-5 in 36 overs. Extras proved costly, with Belhus conceding 41 runs.
