Having defeated Brentwood and Hornchurch in previous Ravi Bopara U19 T20 Cup matches, an uncharacteristic performance by our Under 19s saw us lose to Upminster U19 by 85 runs.

We fielded first and Ben Gladman clasped 3 fine outfield catches, but opener S. Zoran stroked an undefeated 89 from just 55 balls to take his side to 202 for 5 from their allotted 20 overs.

In our reply, although Afra Rose made 24 and James Webb 25*, J. Narbheram bowled well to take 3 for 18 from his 4 overs as we closed on 117-7, falling well short of the required target. Well played Upminster.
