Stanford batted first in this 40-over friendly but were only able to post an under-par total of 131 for 8 as Imran Mohammed and Tyler Martin bowled well to collect 3 for 40 and 3 for 18 respectively.

In our run-chase after tea, opener Tom Thompson was our top-scorer falling just one short of his half-century, and we marched home to a comfortable 7-wickets victory.

And with victories in their first 3 matches of the 2025 season, skipper Martin Mailey's 3rd XI look forward to their opening Essex League fixture next Saturday, 10th May.
