Harlow Town 2nd XI 123-9

On a very hot day at Ash Tree Field, our 2nd XI racked up a decent total of 301 for 7 thanks to skipper Jack Plane who stroked his 10th century for the Club (117) and Oliver Davy who contributed his second fifty (52) of the season, as they declared after 43 overs to give themselves plenty of time to bowl out bottom-placed Harlow Town.

But, alas, despite 8 of our bowlers sending down 54 overs, and being held up by dogged knocks from D Patel (44) and M Lowers (44), we weren't quite able to winkle out HT and had to settle for a Draw in a game that we probably felt we should have won.

And after 8 League matches of the season, the 2nd XI are nicely poised in 3rd place in their Division.
