In the second Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, our 2nd XI opted to bat first and proceeded to post a slightly under-par total of 220, with Wayne Read our lead run-scorer with a neat 52,supported by Alfie Ware (32), Vansh Mehra (26) and Wasif Ghory (25).

In the Hawks' reply, only opener Tristan Hammond (45) had any answer to the Belhus bowling as Alfie Ware and Afif Khan collected 3 wickets apiece and Alfie also snared 3 outfield catches to conclude a fine all-round day for him. In dismissing Hawks for 135 we collected another 20 league points and Adam Dudmish is pleased with his team's performance so far this season.
