In this 40-over friendly, our 3rd XI batted first and our batters were in fine form as Alfie Ware, Wayne Read and Alex Blake each recorded fifties to enable us to post a very respectable 242 for 4.

After tea, Rayleigh never quite got into gear against our accurate bowlers, and with Oliver Davy coming on third change to capture an excellent '5for' (5-16) by sweeping up the last 5 wickets in just 7 tight overs, we bowled out Rayleigh for 109 to march home to a comfortable win by 133 runs. Well played Belhus.
