Hadleigh batted first in this Hamro Foundation Essex League match and registered a competitive 244 for 9 with Jahanzeb Abro posting a fine 65. Baiju Mohamed was the pick of our bowlers capturing 3 for 34.

In our run-chase after tea, Aftab Mohamed (55) and Tom Thompson (43) had their sights set on reaching the required target, but the Hadleigh total was just a little too many for us and we finished on 213 for 6 to earn an honourable draw. Our 4th XI now sit in 5th place in their Division with 8 matches of the season remaining.
